On The Map - Ella Amitay Sadovsky

Ella Amitay Sadovsky, is an Israeli Artist. Her works are of those rare "narrative like" imageries, which moves one heart and mind. Sadovsky uses patterned fabrics as her base for her paintings, and then recreate by the painting process other areas of patterns, imitating the "real" pattern or creating her own. the feeling in some of her big scaled painting (such as the first image presented here) are of a place that was excavated, or should i say, a memory of a scenery that has been revealed.

As if by pulling out layers of forgotten or hidden zones for rediscover and recreate one's memory. Only rare artists can create a story that is being left for the viewer or the reader of the listener to explore, and to be taken by it, emotionally and mentally. The art of Ella Sadovsky have got this gift for us. Ella Amitay Sadovsky is represented by Gordon Gallery, Tel Aviv.

I find these works absolutely beautiful and I look forward to seeing more from this artist in the near future. My own endeavors are a fine contrast to this kind of style and, hopefully, can evoke similar awe and wonder: http://www.fazzino.com.
